Inconel 800/800H/800HT Welded Tube Manufacturer, Supplier in India
Incoloy 800, Incoloy 800H, and Incoloy 800HT are variations of the same nickel-iron-chromium alloy, each designed to serve specific purposes in high-temperature applications. While they share a similar chemical composition, there are notable differences between them.
Incoloy 800 is the base alloy and offers excellent resistance to oxidation, carburization, and nitridation in high-temperature environments. It is commonly used in heat exchangers, furnace components, and petrochemical applications.
Incoloy 800H is a modified version with higher carbon content, which provides enhanced creep and rupture strength at elevated temperatures. That makes it suitable for applications where extended exposure to higher temperatures is expected, such as thermal processing equipment and power plants.
Incoloy 800HT, on the other hand, undergoes further stabilization by adding aluminium and titanium, resulting in increased high-temperature strength and improved resistance to grain boundary precipitate formation during long-term exposure to elevated temperatures. This alloy is often utilized in applications involving cyclic heating and cooling, such as industrial furnaces and heat-treating equipment.
While all three alloys offer excellent corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength, Incoloy 800H and Incoloy 800HT provide enhanced properties for more demanding applications that involve prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures. Selecting the appropriate variant depends on the intended application's specific requirements and operating conditions.
Table Of Content
How does Incoloy 800 / 800H / 800HT welded tubes' corrosion resistance compare to similar alloys?
Incoloy 800, Incoloy 800H, and Incoloy 800HT welded tubes exhibit excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in high-temperature environments, making them highly advantageous compared to similar alloys. Even in challenging conditions, the high nickel and chromium content in these alloys contributes to their exceptional resistance to oxidation, carburization, and nitridation.
Compared to stainless steels, such as 304 or 316,Incoloy 800, Incoloy 800H, and Incoloy 800HT welded tubesoffer superior corrosion resistance in highly oxidizing environments containing sulfur compounds, such as sulfuric acid or sulfur-containing gases. They are less susceptible to stress corrosion cracking and pitting corrosion, making them more reliable for applications with corrosive fluids or gases.

Preparing The Sheets
Before being selected to roll, the stainless steel sheets go through a number of inspections. Trimming them around the edges is the first step in preparing them.
Rolling Through Rollers
The desired size is then achieved by running the sheets through many rollers. You can see the sheets evolving into tubular shapes in this stage.
Rollers Through The Fitted Welding Machine
The tubular shape must pass through a customised welding equipment in this step. You get precisely rolled tubes by removing the weld beads and scraps from inside these tubular shapes.
Welding Process
The grade and application requirements have an impact on tube welding and forming. For the manufacturing of tiny diameter tubes, we employ TIG welding. Steel sheets are coiled and welded inside of a welding machine. The steel sheets are shaped into a coil before entering the machine. The seam between these coils is then welded to create a tube.
Electric Resistance Welding (ERW) Process
Tube is made using the Electric Resistance Welding (ERW) technique, which involves cold-forming a flat sheet of steel into a cylindrical shape. The steel is then heated by applying current to either of the cylinder's edges, forcing the edges to bond together firmly without the use of welding filler material.
Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) Process
An arc is created between a workpiece and a continuously fed bare wire electrode during the Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) procedure. Additionally, flux is used to create slag, produce protective gases, and provide alloying materials to the weld pool. Gas shielding is not required.
Electric Flash Welding Process
A steel sheet being transformed into a cylinder using the electric flash welding process. The edges are heated until they become semi-molten in this instance, and then they are pressed together until molten steel is squeezed out of the junction and forms a bead.
Annealing
Metal is heated above the point of re-crystallization and cooled to room temperature during the annealing process. The molecular bonds in metal tighten when it is shaped, making it rigid. The metal is put through an annealing process to regain its ductility.
Sinking Process
Tube sinking is a drawing technique that reduces the diameter of tubes. In this drawing technique, a tube is run through a die without the need of a mandrel. Good inner surface quality is not ensured when using a mandrel. The die angel determines the integrity of the outer surface. The die being used produces a uniform surface. A tube can be significantly smaller than it was originally. When cost is a factor, tube sinking is ideal.
Inspection and Testing
Before sending our items to our consumers, we conduct inspection procedures to verify their integrity.
